Top 10 List From My First Week In Federal Prison
- I received my phone pin number so I could make calls to my family.
- I received letters at mail call from family and friends.
- The religious services were much better than expected including an outstanding choir and an excellent sermon.
- I was surprised by the generosity of my fellow prisoners who helped me get by until commissary shopping day.
- You can sit outside in the center of the running track and read in a quiet place with a view of Georgia pine trees.
- I have read four books in the last seven days for pure pleasure.
- I ran on the track, visited the weight pile and realized that there is sufficient fitness equipment to stay in shape.
- I figured out that I will lose weight in prison based upon my personal dislike for prison food.
- I was able to go to the commissary and purchase basic necessities.
- I went to the education center and will be signing up for a computer class to upgrade my computer skills.
