PRISON INFO./ADVICE;- The electricity went out around 4 o'clock this morning and has yet to be turned back on. The electricity is out in the entire camp, which means nothing works, not even hot water. The chow hall is being run on generators; they're serving our food on Styrofoam plates. This is the second time the power has gone out in the entire prison, the first time it went out last year, it lasted nearly three days, having to take cold showers, drinking cold coffee, locked down all day, unable to leave our cell or our units, being escorted to and from the chow hall only. When the power goes out, all activity is placed on hold, even medical attention, unless otherwise considered an emergency. Today was our day to go to commissary and of course that too was put on hold too. It's now five o'clock in the afternoon, the power is still out and it looks like it probably won’t get fixed until tomorrow. This is no big deal for me and my celly, Kurt, we both have plenty of things to do in our cell to keep us occupied. I only hope the electricity gets fixed soon for the sake of having a hot shower.
