I have more new information about the bad urine screening that resulted in this three month cell isolation punishment and a mark on my once untarnished record. As I said about a week ago, there are five other men that take the same medication as me that are currently on cell isolation for the same false positive urine screen. After seeing the doctor, updating him on the information I acquired through the Correctional Institution Inspection Committee, who received confirmation directly from the urine testing laboratory that medications like mine do in fact cause false positives specifically for (THC) marijuana. After bringing this new information to the doctor's attention, he recognized the great possibility that I was in fact telling him the truth, pointing out the five other men on my exact medication, proclaiming the same innocence, stating that it's just too much of a coincidence to be an anomaly. Since then I saw the doctor again yesterday, capitalizing on the opportunity to speak with him again about my situation. He stopped me before I could finish, telling me that it's finally being taken care of. The doctor told me that his boss is now aware of this medication causing quick read drug screens to test positive for THC. He also said that even though it appears that nothing is being done right now, it's in the process of being fixed and will eventually be added to the list of other medications known to have the same affect. He said that once this happens the prison will have no choice but to reverse my guilty charges and remove this innocent from my record. I only hope that the doctor was telling me the truth and not just giving me a line of crap to shut me up......
