Everyday brings a new adventure, new challenge, a different personality and new set of circumstances.  This is true no matter where you are.  We will all go through a life altering, traumatic event during our lives.  Just as the sun rises and sets daily so does the tide of life.  The question for each of us is when the storms of life come “AND THEY WILL COME” how will you fare?????  It’s really easy to smile when things are just right,  when your health is holding up, when your children are angels, when your marriage is fulfilling, when your job is void of the glass ceiling and  when your bank account is in the green instead of the red.  But oh my word when ANYTHING tips our scales of comfort …how do we survive???!!!

I have always been pretty positive seeing the proverbial glass as being half full. When my life did a flip flop as I begin this life changing journey I felt as though life as I knew it would never be the same.  Feelings of shame, regret, remorse, condemnation, surrealism, woe is me, why in the heck did I….?????, Oh LORD HELP ME, My life is over…and a million other unbelievable thoughts made their bed between the space of both my right and left ears.  The 5 years that I endured this road was an experience that has left an indelible mark in my mind and heart forever.

There is no amount of outside ridicule or embarrassment that could amount to the pressure that you self-inflict on you.

One of the first things that I had to do was to quickly get my mind right.  Getting my mind right made forced me to realize that even though I created my abyss that God’s grace would preserve me no matter what! Next I was reminded daily that God had given me a wonderful husband, children, parents, brothers, in-laws and friends that would NEVER leave me even in my darkest hours! The support that I have have  sustained me.  My faith and belief that after night comes light and my belief that the best chapters of my life are still to come gives me comfort.  I would encourage you to always have hope.  When things don’t work out continue to believe in the best.  When the bottom seems to have fallen out HOLD TIGHT!  And no matter what superglue you faith in God.  Because No Matter What EVERY SITUATION is ONLY TEMPORARY if you Believe!
