Every Sunday morning I watch Joel Osteen on television, it's about the only gospel I can watch with interest and without getting bored or sleepy. Today his sermon spoke to me more than usual, as if he was speaking directly to me. Joel talked about the importance of prayer, but more importantly giving thanks to God when things aren't going well; thanking Him for the blessings we do have in our life. As we continue to pray and be thankful when times are hard, the blessings will eventually rain back down on our lives. Now I know that many of my readers may not believe what I do and that's fine, I'm not trying to force my religion onto anybody, I just think it's easier to deal with struggles in life if we understand that certain things in life are out of our control and it's much easier just to let go and hand our problems over to a higher power, understanding that the universe will eventually work itself out, finding a way to survive and co-exists. I continue to be frustrated at the unfair circumstances surrounding a false positive drug screen, but I know that I've done all I can do, I believe that things happen for a greater unseen purpose, so I thank my God for the blessings I do have in my life and keep moving forward, knowing that things will get better.
