Happy Anniversary
My 29th wedding anniversary is this weekend. I feel very fortunate that I still have a wife to celebrate an anniversary with. A lot of other woman would have simply walked away from the situation after being exposed to the wrongs I committed.
There will not be any gifts, flowers or a dinner to celebrate this anniversary. However, My wife knows how much I love her and appreciate her.
I have talked to a number of prisoners who came to prison married and will leave divorced. The statistics suggest that if the sentence is longer than 3 years, a marriage has less than a 30% chance of surviving the period of incarceration. I wonder if the Court considers the loss of your spouse and your family when they are imposing a sentence? Probably not.
To be honest, I cannot imagine returning to the real world without the love and support of my wife. I suspect the loss of your spouse and/or family can only contribute to the high recidivism rate for federal prisoners?
Happy Anniversary Honey! I love you and I miss you very much!
