One of the few personal pleasures I have is taking a nice hot shower everyday, it is 15 minutes of bliss. Naturally, this too is now gone, stepping into the stall after 1 1/2 hours of exercise expecting to be bathed in luxurious hot water was shattered with a downpour of ice cold water, a shock to my body and my mind, cant not believe it at all.  From my 15 minutes of bliss to less than 3 minutes of cold, just another piece of the humanity that is robbed by Camp Fed.  Here's the even funny part of all this, not one of my fellow inmates even bothered to tell me that the hot water is out, not a one.  When I asked a fellow Bunkie why didn't he tell me, he answered, "didn't you get the notice?" just a little Camp humor.  Another one of my bunk mates added that this is not an unusual occurrence and it happens many times a year.  "When will it be fixed?" I asked incredulously, as if he had a clue, I received the shrug and we both moved on.  So I've experience another first in my prison life an education, even the hot water is a gift to be enjoyed not not counted on.

We are subjected to a rule book that is administered by whim, a system that dehumanizes us and we have to make sure that we are not broken or diminished, it is on us, not the system that is supposed to be rehabilitating us.
