New Month - November 1, 2015
The most exciting day in prison - The first day of a new month. One month closer to the door.
I just got off the phone with my wife. She was visiting friends (Jeff and Mary Jo) on their boat that was moored in a harbor on Marco Island. I was jealous. I have not seen the ocean for 13 months and I truly miss it.
The NFL (National Felons League) resumed play today in Jesup. I watched a couple of good flag football games.
I, of course, have assigned myself to the permanent injured reserve list. ( I am too old for this type of recreation ).
I also have a confession too make. I actually had fun in prison last Thursday. Why? Our unit had a talent show for the compound. There were 14 different acts. I did my own comedy routine and I participated with some younger guys in a dance troupe. (They thought it would be funny to have an old white guy dance on stage with them). The comedy routine was my normal satirical skit that many of you witnessed in my prior life. It went well. The dance troupe was allot of fun. I learned how to do the "whip", the "Neh, Neh", the "Stanky Leg", and the "bop". We did an encore and had the whole audience dancing with us. For a few moments, I forgot I was in prison. Then, the show was over and I was abruptly jolted back to reality. I walked back to my unit and got ready for 4:00 p.m. stand up count. Reality sucks right now!
