While walking around the track before sunrise I was reminded of Billy Pilgrim of Slaughterhouse Nine, or was it Five, Kurt Vonnegut's classic novel.  His ability to leave the unsettling reality he was trapped in and go to different times and different places and different planets was his gift to escape his current fate.  How wonderful to really be able to do that, but as I walked around the track and watched the sunrise gradually in the east I did travel away from Camp Fed and found myself walking along the piers in San Francisco.  The weather the crispness in the air and the sunrise transported me to the docks and the city by the bay.  The more I walked the more I thought about the shops, the restaurants and the people along the quay is SF.  I found myself standing at Pier 22, is that the number, watching all the seals and sea lions basking in the sun and singing to each other and the crowd.  I found myself wandering into a coffee shop and ordering a scone and a latte, just as I was about to take my first sip, the call for medical came over the loudspeaker and I was back at Ft Dix, but I did manage to get away for a while.
