As my countdown continues i have found that I am becoming more closed off than i was in the beginning.  I guess my tolerance for all of the jailhouse BS has become less than it was and I don't want to hear about or be involved in anyone else's drama.  Much of what goes on in here is very much like a soap opera played out by junior high school students.  The only thing missing is the girls and the football team.  There is always something going on and the stories that surround the coming and going of the inmates become more and more flowery and exaggerated as they make their way around the camp.  It's like on giant game of telephone.  Add to the fact that there is no such thing as privacy and you have an ideal setting for the rumor and supposition mill that exists.  It's like Page Six to the 10th power how quickly word spreads about anything and anybody,  I guess that's what happens when you put 400+ men in a very confined space and very little privacy.  Add to this that many of these men are highly creative and talented and you have the makings of a great source of storytelling.  Someone should do some of these as a TED talk.
