Early Morning Surprise in Federal Prison

Prison can offer some unexpected surprises at the strangest times. Today was linen exchange day. Each Wednesday we line up at the laundry at 6:15 a.m. to exchange our sheets and blanket for "clean" ones. After linen exchange I proceeded to the chow hall for breakfast. During breakfast, no one really talks. They are all tired and grumpy and simply wolf down their food and leave. I like breakfast because you get a piece of fruit and milk.

After breakfast, I proceeded on the 150 yard walk back to my unit. There was a short gentleman walking very slowly in front of me. I passed him on the left and He muttered something inaudible. I simply smiled and kept walking. He then said "I will knock your ass to the ground you m_ _ _ _ _ F _ _ _ _ _!" I kept walking and no further words were exchanged. I described the incident to another guy in my unit and He said He knows the guy. He said the guy is just plain crazy. He said the guy makes crazy comments all of the time, and also added that the guy never follows through on his statements. I simply resolved to stay away from him because I have no interest in going to the SHU (special housing unit) because some nut wants to start a confrontation with me over absolutely nothing.

If you think you had a hard time getting to work today, think again. At least no one told you they were going to " knock your ass to the ground " today? Prison.......Full of surprises!
