While showering this morning my mind wandered to this thought, why aren't there more good looking men in this lace and what is the overall ratio of good looking to plain looking people in prison? What is the ratio of good looking to ugly people in prison? If there aren't many good looking/attractive people in prison what exactly does this mean? Is it that good looking people do not commit crimes, or is it that good looking people don't get prosecuted as much as plain or ugly people? Is it that there are many more good looking people than I think but being in the prison for 12 months or longer has sapped their good looks? I wonder if the BOP has any studies broken down by this demographic, good looking, average looking, plain, less than plain and just down right ugly. And if it is also based on the prosecutors allowing good looking people to get away with more than the averaged Joe why isn't this being policed and monitored. It's bad enough that the better looking among have inherently a better time of things overall but I never realized this had to do with punishment to. So, is Justice in America blind, I think not.
