In here with over 400 men trying to use 16 showers it is imperative to have a shower strategy, especially if you want to have instant easy access and a relatively peaceful time of it. That also goes for getting to use the toilets too, there are only 16 of those as well. But back to the showers, they are available for our use 24 hours a day, except when the bathroom is being cleaned everyday, which is usually from 7:30 to 8;15 Am on the weekdays and a little later on the weekends. During the week when most of the inmates are working out of the camp it is pretty easy, we work from about 7:30 to 11:30 and then 12:30 to about 2:30, so ideally for me I try and shower after my shift is done at the kitchen, around 11:30Am. Usually from about Noon to 1 Pm is my ideal shower time. Weekends is much trickier though, a whole other plan takes place and I'm easily adapting it by events. Why do I try for some solitary time, simply because men in general are pigs and slobs and who wants to see most of the guys bathroom and shower habits. It's bad enough to use the same facility after some of them, it's wild what gets left behind. And the noises that come out of us guys, honestly, we must be kidding. I would go deeper into detail but I have to spare you the details out of civility and respect, there you have it, "The Shower Routine".
