This morning brought out the best in many of my fellow inmates and it's nice to see that many of the guys can rally around getting the right thing done when it's called for.  Our sewers backed up this morning, it was pretty bad and the response from many of the guys was terrific.  It all took place early, many of the guys were still asleep, but those that were up and knew what had to be done took action.  Since we are a work camp it's the inmates who service, repair and maintain the facility, so they were Johnny on the spot to get the clogged line cleared.  The harder part was cleaning the flooded areas, which were the bathrooms and most of the common areas, thankfully not the barracks.  The orderlies and other volunteers worked tirelessly to remove the water clean the areas with disinfectant and police the general areas back to good health.  It was all done efficiently without the usual drama that happens when others get involved, so bravo to the guys who worked their tails off for the rest of us.
