Anger.  What is it good for?  Absolutely nothing.

A lot of people think I should be angry or at least they would understand if I was.  Because I got “thrown under the bus.”  Because the government didn’t treat me “fairly.”  Because I got a long sentence.  But what good would it do to be angry?  Anger is an emotion that has never served me well in my life.  And I choose to leave it behind.  And besides, what do I have to be angry about?  I could have said “no I won’t do that.”  I could have walked away.  Would it have been easy to walk away?  No, but that was always an option.  I didn’t and so I have no reason to be angry.  Anger is poison and it robs life of happiness and gets in the way of progress.  And I have many things to be happy about and many things to look forward to.  My husband, my family, my friends, my colleagues, my Tito Puente (my dog!) and the little joys that happen every day.  Even when the sky is dark, if you look for happiness, it is always there.  That is what I choose to focus on.
